Terminology Guide
This guide explains the key terms used when describing the Dovqeluna system and its structure. Understanding these terms will help new users navigate the interface and communicate accurately with the support team.

Core System Concepts
Information Record
An information record is a single unit of structured information within the Dovqeluna system. Each record has a defined set of attributes — such as a name, a date, a type designation, or other identifying characteristics — that the classification engine uses to assign it to one or more categories. Users interact with records in the review interface by examining their attributes and reading their content.
Category
A category is a named grouping that contains information records sharing one or more common attributes. Categories are defined by the system's classification configuration. When a user navigates to a category, they see all the records within that category that are available to their access zone. Categories may be broad — containing many records across a wide range of sub-attributes — or specific, containing a narrower and more focused set of records.
Classification
Classification is the process by which the system assigns information records to categories. This process is handled by the system automatically, based on the attributes present in each record and the rules defined in the classification configuration. Users do not need to classify records manually — they interact with information that has already been classified.
Classification Configuration
The classification configuration is the set of rules that defines how records are assigned to categories within the system. It determines which attributes are used to classify records, what the category names are, and how sub-categories relate to parent categories. The configuration is maintained by Dovqeluna Pty Ltd and may be updated over time.
Sub-Category
Some categories within the system contain sub-categories — more specific groupings nested beneath the parent category. Where sub-categories exist, users can navigate into them to examine a more focused set of records. Not every category has sub-categories; this depends on the classification configuration for that area of the system.
Interface Terminology
Review Interface
The review interface is the part of the Dovqeluna system through which users read and navigate information records. It presents classified records in a readable format, provides navigation controls for moving between categories, and includes filtering tools for narrowing the visible set of records by attribute.
Filter
A filter is a user-applied constraint that reduces the records displayed in the review interface to those matching a specified attribute value. Applying a filter does not alter the underlying classification of the records — it changes only what is currently visible. Filters can typically be applied and removed at any point during a review session.
Access Zone
An access zone is the portion of the Dovqeluna system that a user is permitted to navigate following access confirmation. A user's access zone is defined during the access review process and corresponds to one or more categories (and their sub-categories, where applicable) within the system. Users cannot access categories outside their confirmed access zone.
Navigation Path
The navigation path refers to the sequence of categories a user moves through when locating a specific record. For example, a user might navigate from a parent category to a sub-category and then examine an individual record. The review interface displays the current navigation path so the user knows where they are within the information structure.
Access and Support Terminology
Enquiry
An enquiry is a communication submitted through the Dovqeluna contact form. Enquiries may be general questions about the system, requests for access to a specific category or access zone, requests for technical support from a user who already has access, or requests for information about the system's capabilities. All enquiries are reviewed by a member of the support team.
Access Request
An access request is a specific type of enquiry in which the applicant asks to be granted access to one or more categories within the Dovqeluna system. An access request is reviewed by the support team, who assess whether the described purpose is appropriate and whether the requested categories are relevant to that purpose. Confirmation of an access request constitutes the creation of an access zone for that user.
Access Confirmation
Access confirmation is a written communication from the Dovqeluna support team that formally indicates a user has been granted access to a specified access zone. Until this communication has been received, no access has been confirmed, regardless of the content of earlier exchanges.
Support Team
The support team refers to the members of Dovqeluna Pty Ltd responsible for reviewing enquiries, processing access requests, and assisting users who have encountered difficulties with the system. The support team can be reached at [email protected] or through the enquiry form on the Contact page.
Using This Guide
If you encounter a term in communications from the support team or in system documentation that is not explained here, feel free to ask for clarification. The support team is happy to explain how terms are being used in the context of your specific access zone and enquiry.
